ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED!! Adorable PETEY is a fun little mixed breed boy with a big personality. He's a 6 year old mixed breed boy, out best guess is Australian Cattle Dog/Jack Russell Terrier mix, but who knows what else may be in the mix. He's currently 40 pounds but on a diet to slim down to 30-35 pounds. Petey loves his people and loves to soak up all of the attention he can get. Petey isn't super keen on other dogs, so he needs to be in a home where he's an only dog, but he promises to keep you entertained. He is house broken and crate trained and best suited to a home with a physically fenced yard. If you'd like to meet Petey, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
