Hello Everyone!My name is Durin. I am a very sweet, 7 year old, Plott Hound mix. My brother and I first became Angels shortly after being born. They saved us from a shelter where we were both very sick with Parvo. After we recovered, we had a very nice Foster mom that nursed us back to health and got us adopted by two different loving families when we were 4 months old. I was named Lucky and boy did I feel lucky! Not only did I have a mom and dad, but I had two young human brothers and we were all growing up together. When my family was out of town, I would get to visit my foster mommy and my best dog friends, Schooner and Sassy.Then, everything changed. One of my brothers developed allergies and asthma that required inhalers. They had to make the heartbreaking decision to return me. I miss them, but I am back living with my foster mommy and my dog friends and we are all having a blast playing in the yard and snuggling on the sofa.I am potty trained and a very good listener. I am mellow most of the time, but I do enjoy romping in the fenced yard with my friends. We have a doggy door that stays open when our humans are home, so if we are not napping, we run in and out all day. I am a little shy, but mostly playful, sweet, and silly. My perfect home would have a big fenced yard and another dog for me to play with. I am great with kids of all ages. I was crate trained, but have not needed to be in one in years. I am not at all destructive. My only real quirk is allergies. I have a limited diet and receive allergy injections periodically to help with itchiness.If you are looking to find a friend for your dog, you are in LUCK! I can't wait to find my new family.
