Adopt Hazel and Phinneas a Tortoiseshell Domestic Shorthair / Mixed (short coat)

Location:
Whitewater, WI
Description:

If you’ve ever wondered what an old-soul, folk musician, porch chiller in a kitten body looks like, Phinneaus is your guy. He’s a handsome and sleek panther mixed with the most chill, gentle, and sweetest soul. Phinneaus’ favorite hobbies include bird watching, snuggling, purring, being pet, grooming his sister, AND hunting the feathers on the string. He can be quite playful when the feathers come out and is extremely athletic. He was saved by an angel rescuer as an orphaned kitten with a pretty tragic story. But, this is when his world got turned around and he got to have his very own baby sister. Hazel was a solo baby kitten looking for a friend and so the rescue paired them up as honorary siblings and the two have been inseparable ever since. Hazel was found with her mom as an only child and brought into rescue. Shortly after weaning from her mom, she met her new honorary brother, Phinneaus. Hazel has a very mild form of CH (cerebellar hypoplasia). She is in no pain at all, quite the opposite actually and it will not worsen overtime. All that CH means is that she is a bit uncoordinated and wobbly when she walks. She can use a normal litter box (and covers up her poop thank you very much!), eats independently, jumps onto and off furniture, and more. Hazel has a charismatic energy to her that lights up the room and you can’t help but smile. She lives in the moment and will teach you how to seize the day the joy! She greets you at the door like a dog, is very food motivated, loves to play, and is quite chatty. She’s social, every one is her best friend, and has been raised with dogs her whole life. If you’re looking for the most well-rounded duo of all time, the perfect yin and yang, these two are it. Their foster mom is in awe as to how well they complement each other between Phinneaus’ old soul protective brother energy and Hazel’s curious and brave explorer energy. They are never ending entertainment and their love continues to grow in beautiful and fun ways. For this reason, they are bonded and would be adopted out together. They would do well in a home with kids, dogs, quiet home, adventurous home, any and all homes. They are fostered in a home with 2 dogs and a lot of plants and are lovely house guests. Approximate DOB: April 2023 Foster Home Location: Madison Cerebellar hypoplasia is a neurologic disorder that doesn't get worse and doesn't get better. CH most often causes jerky, shaky, unbalanced movements. There is no pain associated with CH and the cat knows no other life and often do great! You can learn more about CH here: https://lifewithchcats.com/what-is-cerebellar-hypoplasia/ Consider adopting 2 kittens! There are many benefits including: - One kitten can become lonely and bored - Two kittens will keep each other busy - Having two kittens is very entertaining! - You’ll have fewer behavioral issues with two kittens - You’ll save TWO lives instead of just one - Adoption fee is discounted for the 2nd kitten If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff Please allow several days for us to process your application.
