Thankful for his second chance at life, 7-month-old Tommy is thriving in his foster home. Percolating with 30 pounds of puppy spirit and spunk, he’s sweet and social, loves cuddling and snuggling with his foster mom, resting his head on her, rolling over for tummy rubs, having his dark coat brushed, then prancing perkily about. Extremely energetic, he also loves playing and hiding his toys, playing fetch and going for walks, and is especially fond of stuffed toys, balls and nylon bones. Friendly yet dominant, he would require supervision with large dogs while he learns more about socialization, but he accepts all treats gently, is motivated by food and love, and currently knows “sit,” “stay,” “down,” “off” and “no.” Leash and crate trained, almost fully house trained and honing his puppy manners, Tommy will thrive under the tutelage of a strong, loving “pack leader” who will perfect his manners, continue his socialization, teach him the rest of his commands and keep him mentally and physically fulfilled fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $345 . Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.
