Lady Capulet's life is a Cinderella story waiting for you to bring her glass slipper, but each day keeps getting better for her. She was rescued from an elderly woman's garage after the woman passed on, with the ELEVEN babies that she and two other mamas raised together. The kind woman's family searched for rescue and after a plane ride to Napa, the WHOLE kitty-sister-wives-family landed in one foster house to continue raising their babies together. Lady Capulet is so named for her gentility, incredible sweetness and loving nature to her babies and the world. She is demure and coy and loves gentle pets with a soft touch. She's never once shown a swat to a baby (or her humans) or growl to anyone. She's a lover, not a fighter. She is content...just to be..you can find her taking a sun nap on the windowsill or tucked in one of her favorite hidey holes. After all the passel of babies and demanding mamas have gotten their fill of human attention or wet food, Lady Capulet, who stands back and waits, will slowly come up to get her fill. She isn't a lap cat as much as she's a "caress and pet me" cat, but she's also living amidst an insatiable sister wife and 11 kittens. So perhaps in a quieter household, this attribute will change. She'd best be suited to a calm household and as the only pet (unless she were to go with her Siamese sister wife, her best friend, or one of her babies). She still grooms and loves them all. The sister wives even groom each other still!! Dogs make her nervous as do other cats she doesn't know...we guess it's from surviving the streets in an overrun town with dumped animals before she came. Her foster, who has raised hundreds of kittens and cats, is awed by her absolute heart of gold. She is a very special soul. We also are enamored by her facial features that beckon you, "love me if you wish"...those "sad eyes" are purely decorative...she truly does love her life. Her babies are coming up on Petfinder after their alterations---they're the Shakespeare-named kitties. Her sister wife, Rosemund will be available in a few weeks. She's approximately 18 months old (July '23). ****Breaking news**** Lady Capulet LOVES CATNIP!!!!! It should be a plant you grow for her!!! You must be a "Catnip Friendly" household!!! Currently in a foster home, you can set up a day to come meet this kitty (on Saturdays during adoption event hours).
