Now healthy.MEDICATIONS: NoneSPECIAL NEEDS: Shy, talkative and a little nervous when meeting new people but warms up with patience.ANXIETY: A little afraid when first meeting people; gets nervous, talks and barks. Needs time to warm up.BARKING: Low to moderate, but VERY loud and lengthy when he does. Very much a hound and talks to you. EXPERIENCED OWNER NEEDED: YES. Needs to understand and committ to continued socialization with people. Needs to understand hounds in general. Needs to be able to handle his size and strength and tolerate big hound bark/vocalization. CRATE TRAINED: YesHOUSE TRAINED: YesGOOD IN CAR: YesFUN FACTS: Louie is basically a very large puppy and will probably end up getting a little larger. He is a very easy going guy that adores other dogs and would be lonely without them. As a result, he'll need to have one in his forever home to play with him and be his play buddy (he does play a little hard). He is very attached to other dogs, enjoying snuggle time and play time. Louie is intimidated when first meeting new people, barking and stand off-ish, so he will need continued socialization with people and children, as well as how to appropriately greet new dog and kitty friends (he doesn’t realize how goofy he comes across!). He does warm up fairly quickly, though. He is a very smart, good natured boy and loves his people once he's comfortable and no longer afraid. He is also quite the comedian and a little bullheaded, so he needs someone who understands the stubborn hound trait. As for sweetness, he has tons and tons of it. He gives very gentle kisses and is a wonderful companion. Scared doesn't equal bad companion!##1517337##
