Garner is a well-trained young guy with a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Garner, however, didn't do so well with an 8-year old male lab mix he grew up around. Owners could not pinpoint his triggers but did not feel it was safe for the two dogs to be together any longer. Garner was treated well, received extensive training and was much loved in his home. He showed some leash reactivity with other dogs on walks so we think Garner may do best as a single dog or maybe a submissive female in the house. When cat tested, Garner failed; so NO cats. He will also do better in a house with no small children. Adoption processWe ask that all prospective adopters send us an adoption application. After we have screened it and approved your application, you will be offered an appointment to visit our facility in Grand Prairie and meet with members of Doberman Rescue of North Texas. .Shelter locationFill out an application and wait to hear from our screener. Once approved our volunteer will contact you and you will be offered and appointment on Sunday's only. Bring a collar and leash. Bring your drivers license or other identification. Bring a check or cash for your adoption donation. We do not accept Paypal and do not keep cash on hand to make change Know the name of your vet clinic and its telephone number. You will need to put it on the adoption contract.
