Adopt Charlie a Black - with Brown, Red, Golden, Orange or Chestnut Basset Hound

I am deeply saddened to rehome Charlie. He is around four to five years old and a rescue from approximately 4 months ago. we believe he is a basset hound mix and is 99% wonderful. Unfortunately, he has shown aggression to my husband as well as my mothers cat on one unexplainable incident. I recommend he be the only pet in the household and since we are unfamiliar with his background, no small children. I have learned that he strongly bonds to one person and feels he must ‘protect them’. This can lead to isolated incidents of aggression when he can’t ‘get to his person’. Our ideal owner would be a single person with no other pets, or someone who can work with this type of behavior and can teach him to work beyond this fear based aggression. He is energetic, excited to go on walks and explore, he loves cuddles on the couch all night and sleeping in bed with you. He’s such a good boy. He will come with food, leashes and toys. Please consider adopting this sweet soul.
