STUBBY STELLA would like to tell you a bit about herself. " I am a girl that loves to kiss and get affection. My foster mom is still getting to know me, but let me just explain a little about myself. I havent had the best life previously... I was picked up on streets in a city that wasnt nice to me. Then I went to the shelter and it was extremely loud and scary also. Since people were sometimes not nice, I learned to put on a show because I get scared and try to protect myself. Sometimes in new situations or new people, I growl and try to scare you! I do not bite, I just want to keep myself safe so I pretend to be a tough cookie! The reality though, is that I just get scared, and if you go slow and give me yummy food, I will fall in love with you so fast! I was growling at my foster mom in the car, and when I was quiet she would toss me some delicious treat for me in the back seat. I LOVED THE TREATS and I started wondering if this lady that came to get me was the real deal? Well, we pulled into her garage, and she shut the garage door. My foster mom did not grab me or pull me out of the car- she just let me look around and she talked nicely to me. I decided to hop out and we went into the backyard. OMG!! I could not believe it!! There was alot of other dogs there running and playing and THEY WERE HAPPY! If they are happy, then I must be safe! My foster mom and foster dad sat down outside and they watched me interact with the other dogs. They told me that they were proud of me! I have never been told that before. I ran over to my foster dad and i jumped up on him and gave him a kiss. He smiled and seemed so happy about it. Then I did the same to my foster mom, and she smiled and petted me and told me from now on, I would be safe and cared for! They broke through my facade, and my true colors came out. I am an absolute lover, and I want to be loved. My foster mom and dad are keeping me safe, until my forever family that will love me FOREVER AND FOREVER AND EVER comes to take me home. Can you understand why I am scared sometimes? Maybe my special people are reading this and will contact Sandy and the Crew Animal Rescue to meet me! I am waiting...."##1794229##
