Description:
"Mingus" is a sweet, beautiful blue male Pit Bull, about 1.5 years old and a lean 62 lbs. He followed us home 7/3. He can be playful, and integrated into our 2-dog home quickly. He gets along fine with them, but could benefit from having someone his own age and size for vigorous play. He’s not well trained, but learning (he couldn’t “sit” when we found him, but can now). He’s non-reactive to our small, older dog snapping at him, but got into a tussle when our larger dog got toy possessive. He likes squeaky toys, though growled when intently focused on a toy (which he destroyed). He’s non-responsive when putting a hand in his food bowl. He’s not been tested in a household with cats, and due to the growling, he’s not recommended for a household with children or a first-time dog owner. He's been neutered (7/13), had a negative test for heartworms, recently got his rabies and DA2P vaccines, and is on flea / heartworm meds.
