Hey there, I'm Max, the sweet and affectionate 1 1/2-year-old Beagle looking for my forever family! Let me tell you all about myself! I've got so much love to give, and I know I'd make a great emotional support dog for someone special. I just love being close to my humans, and being in your lap is my favorite place to be! It's like our hearts connect when we're together. When I was a puppy, I didn't get much socialization, but I'm getting better at meeting new people now. It's a new skill I'm learning, and I'm trying my best to be friendly and open to making new friends. Up until recently, I only knew three wonderful people who cared for me. But now, I'm excited to open my heart to even more love and new adventures with a loving family. With that being said, I need to find a home with grown-up humans who understand that forming a bond with a dog like me can take a little time. Please, no children who do children things. It's all about patience and understanding, and I promise, the love we'll share will be worth the wait. I was surrendered to this facility because my previous owner had severe allergic reactions, which led them to the hospital. It was a tough decision for them, but I'm grateful for the chance to find a new loving home. I have to admit, I do bark when I'm not near my people, so I might not do well in an apartment or condo-type living. I just like to stay close, you know?
