Marilyn Monroe is definitely a glamour puss. She is about 3 years old and is a petite white cat with black markings and has a beauty spot on one side of her pink nose and has golden eyes. She came to HART from our rescue partner in Tennessee and is about 2 years old. Since she arrived in Maine she has raised a litter of kittens and is now ready to shine in her own spotlight. Marilyn Monroe seeks you out for attention when you enter her room. She love pets and skritches and to play. We’ve noticed that she does want to play with dangly toys. She is doing well with her roommates and is really settling into the shelter. However, she is now ready to move to an experienced cat home who can provide her with the time and patience to become acclimated to her home. We've seen her interact with children and she does very well with them. She is selective about the dogs she lives with, so cat savvy dogs who are calm are probably best. We observed that Marilyn Monroe does have some anxiety and stress issues (most likely from living in the shelter), so our medical team started her on a medication. This medication will require that her adopter have an established veterinarian relationship to help manage her stress as well as this medication. Like any true celebrity, she only eats the finest of foods and is currently eating a limited ingredient diet of duck and green pea. We tell her it's because she's special, but it's really because she has an immune response that causes small bumps on the underside of her chin which, if not treated, could become irritated and uncomfortable.To meet this starlet in Room 1 please complete our online adoption application.
