Sunny is being fostered in Owatanna, MN. Meet Sunny! This ADORABLE sweet boy is a standard black tri male Australian Shepherd. He was born September 24th, 2022. Full grown, he will be about 55-60lbs. He has the sweetest disposition, is gentle and a bit timid. He has the biggest heart to love, once he gets comfortable. Sunny lived at a breeder before coming to rescue at 6 months old so his exposure to the world was limited; but he is SO young that we think he will turn around in no time in the right home. He will need a patient loving adopter that will use only positive reinforcement with him. He is quite the sensitive guy. Sunny is crate trained and on a potty schedule and doing great! He likes his crate too and its his safe space, so he will need a crate in his new home. While his foster parents are at work or sleeping, he stays in his crate. As a young pup, this is something that should be continued in his forever home until he is old enough. Sunny is working on leash training, it isn't that he pulls, its that he was never exposed to one. This boy LOVES other dogs and cats and is GREAT with them. Matter of fact, we think he would do best in a home with other animals. He would probably do best with a dominant dog in his life to help guide him. He is a typical Aussie and though he is shy with people, he still is Velcro and wants to be with them or at least be able to see his people and be in the same room. Sunny needs a physically fenced backyard.Sunny is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworm.
