Lacey is a 5 year old black lab mix in need of a new home within the next week. She is a very sweet dog and LOVES to play. She is about 30 lbs and is spayed. She was rescued from the side of the road at just 4 months old. She needs a home with lots of love and attention, but she does NOT do well with most men or little kids. Most men make her feel threatened due to issues before she was initially rescued, but she will warm up to her male owners.Young children such as toddlers who are not capable of understanding how to treat a sensitive dog like Lacey are not a good mix. She does just fine with older kids. She does not have experience living with other animals. One thing to note is that she does have some medical issues: she is heartworm positive and has chronic ear infections so she does NOT like her ears touched.But she urgently needs a new home where she can have all the love and attention she deserves.
