Hi, My name is Pixel. I am a local owner surrender. From the foster: Pixel is an affectionate, kitten-active, female brown/black tabby with white mittens and tummy.. She is very friendly with trusted people and friendly with strangers after about 20 minutes. When you come home Pixel entwines around your ankles. When you sit, Pixel jumps into your lap for petting, staying for about 3 minutes, but other times for longer. She enjoys being picked up and carried upright or occasionally cradled baby style. At times she rubs against your face or touches your nose. At times she reaches up requesting to be picked up. At times she likes her tummy stroked. Pixel's medium purr is heard as soon as her known folks interact with her. She plays by herself with pompom balls and catnip mice and enjoys window watching for wildlife. Pixel enthusiastically runs and jumps after wand toys. She is okay with brushing, but after a while wants to chomp on the brush. Pixel is a communicator telling you she doesn't like being left alone, or telling you to hurry and feed her. At times her high squeaky meow is heard just to tell you something unknown but important to her. When introduced to the resident cat, she went right up as friendly as can be, but after getting hissed at, cowered, then hissed back and ran off. With proper introductions, Pixel should do okay with accepting cats and possibly a gentle dog. There are no children at the foster home, but with calm, gentle kids over age 4, Pixel should be fine. She was found as a stray and that person turned Pixel over to SHH. Pixel fears the vacuum 'monster' and sudden loud noises. She regularly uses a sisal scratching post. She would do best with another pet as a pal.
