Henry is an adorable pup that loves human affection. His favorite thing is to cuddle and play with you. He gets so excited with people that he will jump all over you to let you know just how happy he is. Despite all the playfulness and excitement typical of a puppy, he is very good with the "sit" command. He will sit very majestically for you (especially when there is a treat involved). He is working on his crate training and he is doing well. He complains at the beginning because he misses being next to his human but after a few minutes he will settle down. Despite loving people, he may get a bit scared when strangers approach. Once he gets the chance to meet them, however, he warms up immediately. He doesnt seem to care much about toys, as human companionship is what he cares about the most. Like with people, he is a bit intimidated by other dogs but after understanding that they are friendly he becomes very playful.A few more things to know:Henry likes to snuggle with youHenry's favorite thing is human attentionHenry is a bit scared of new things Henry's new home must have people that love him & prefer a fenced yard to romp in Henry is a male Black Labrador Retriever/Hound who was born approximately 9-20-23 and currently weighs 41 lbs, but still has some growing to do. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $500 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from XXXX@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. We do out of state/area adoptions, but approved adopters are required to come to an adoption appointment, we do not ship pets. The final approval to adopt is after we have met applicants and feel they are the right match for that particular pet.
