Summers County Humane Society Meet Birdie. This chocolate lab mix is looking for a new home. She is great with cats, dogs, kids and walks well on a leash. Birdie is a loyal cuddly girl. Birdie does like to chase chickens, so farm life might not be for her. Please help this sweet girl find a new home. Please sponsor me! We work with rescues in northeastern states via the For All Paws Sake transport network.Our dogs can be transported as far as New England on Saturdays. Receiving Rescue Application April 21, 2024, 10:54 amAdoption processACWP's requires potential adopters to submit an application and veterinary references to be reviewed by our placement team. A phone interview will follow and if a suitable animal is available a home visit will be arranged. ACWP requests a tax-deductible donation of $200 for most dog adoptions to help offset vetting expenses and to assist care for future animals.Shelter locationOur county and ACWP, Inc. do not have an animal shelter and our pets are kept in foster homes.
