Meet Grizz! He was named Grizz because he looks like a cute burly bear. Grizz was quite sad, scruffy, and frightened upon his arrival to the shelter. It took him a couple weeks to work through his sadness and fear. At first, he didn’t want to be touched, but now he’s a happy boy who welcomes gentle pets. He no longer hides in the back of his kennel but runs to the door the minute someone walks in, especially if they have apple or banana. We are so proud of his progress and how he has blossomed. He’s a tender, sensitive boy with a big sweet, soft side; it just takes a little time for him to trust and show it. Once he does, it’s so deeply touching to see him open up to receive love and give it in return. He’s even starting to do little binkies at playtime, which thrills all the volunteers. He’s a chill, laid-back boy who loves to lounge and nap. He would thrive most in an adult-only home or in a home with gentle, quiet, respectful children (10+ years). He would thrive even more if he had a bunny girlfriend. Without a doubt, he’s a diamond in the rough just waiting to show his brilliance with some extra TLC, space to play, toys, and good food (don’t forget the banana!).
