Hi my name is Bindy and I am thought to be 8 years old. You don't get to be 8 years old without gaining some street smarts and I realize that here in the shelter my odds of a quick adoption can be iffy. I am also HW+ because I was left untreated. I am currently under treatment here at the shelter and they expect a complete recovery with no lasting effects. I am so grateful to be here even though it is scary and loud. So different from my last place where I was one of many and left to my own devices. Here there are so many people that love me with their whole heart. They feel such compassion for me it gives me courage to come out of my kennel and please all my new friends by walking a little further every day, by accepting their love a little more eagerly every day. I am making progress and I am beating these Heartworms. I can still go home with a family - they will have to foster me until I test negative and then they can make it official and adopt me. Some days I just can't even imagine a family picking me but then other days I think I can't wait to go home where it's quiet and peaceful and loving. A volunteer took me home for a little break and I had the best nap of my life. I was respectful and grateful for the time I spent with her. It was scary getting in the car but I did it and she was sooooo proud of me! So I was proud of myself. If you have a compassionate heart and some patience for an older gal like while I work to overcome my shyness then please come meet me and give me a chance. If you could see where I started and how far I've come you would be as amazed as my volunteer friends.
