Say hello to Spirit!She is a 3 year old Pit Bull/Bulldog mix who weighs about 50 pounds. Spirit is a wonderful girl who is an absolute gem! She is eager to greet you whenever you walk in the room and is quick to jump in your lap and give you kisses or curl up next to you for some love. Spirit is a playful girl who enjoys running around outside and going for long walks with you by her side. Spirit's favorite toys are stuffies and she loves to run around and play with them (although they don't last very long). She is a very smart girl and loves to train and learn new tricks. If there's food involved, Spirit is game!She has lived with dogs in the past and could make a great playmate for another dog looking for a buddy! Once she meets a dog she is ready to play and hasn't met a dog that she doesn't like. Since she is such a sweetheart she could live in a home with children ages 10 years and older. Adoption processAll of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability. We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. Adoption Fees:Dogs6 months or under: $1756 months to 5 years: $1256 years or older (or special needs): $50 Cats6 months or under: $75 (or two kittens for $100)6 months to 5 years: $506 years or older (or special needs): $20 Senior to Senior Program: For adopters age 60 or older, adoption fees are reduced to $15 if the animal is 3 years or older. This service is made possible through the Pets for the Elderly Foundation. You will be asked to provide proof of age.
