Joanne was rescued after spending many years at an apartment complex, probably abandoned. She is very sweet with people but she HATES other cats. So she needs to be the only cat - queen of her household! Joanne is FIV positive. FIV is a retrovirus that is not contagious to humans or other animals, and may or may not affect life expectancy. Joanne is very healthy otherwise. FIV is not easily spread between cats, however, as Joanne does not like other cats, she will need to be an only kitty in the household regardless.
