Gala is approximately 4 years old, around 40 pounds, spayed and fully vaccinated terrier mix breed. She is potty & crate trained but has not yet mastered the leash. Gala gets along well with other dogs, adults and children alike. Given her sociable spirit; she should be able to learn your family’s routine rather quickly and become part of the gang in no time!!! Gala has great tenacity and strength which helped her overcome malnourishment and scabies while abandoned at a TJ soccer field. Luckily, FHSTJ’s swift action to rescue Gala in January 2024 made a huge difference in her life! Gala has a lot of love to give and longs for a family who can provide her with the affection and attention she craves. She deserves a warm and loving home where she can feel cherished as a member of the family!!!Adoption processWe take great care in being sure that each adoption is a good fit for both the animal and the adopter. Once the adoption is finalized, after a 1 week trial period, we follow up with the adopter (sometimes more time is needed) making sure that the pet is well adjusted to its surroundings and its new owner.We also ask that they take the adopted pet to their Vet to have the pet checked out even though we have done so prior to the adoption.Shelter locationWe have adoption events almost every weekend. Our Adoption events take place at Petco & Petsmart, our adoption partners. We also participate in other adoption events in the city of San Diego, CA, i.e., the Doggy Street Festival (at Liberty Station) as well as all the events sponsored by the Animals Support Foundation, that take place in Grossmont, San Diego.
