My name's Cosmo, and I'm not just your average pup - I'm the sweetest 1-year-old shepherd mix you'll ever meet! With my adorable face and boundless enthusiasm, I'm ready to steal your heart and become your new best friend. Now, let's talk about the important stuff. You see, I've got a bit of a jumping habit - when I get excited, I just can't help myself! That's why I'd do best in a home with children over 12 who can handle my full-force jumps with ease, but I may do well with younger dog-savvy kiddos as well! But don't worry, with a little training and patience, I'm sure I can learn to keep all four paws on the ground when I'm feeling excited. Speaking of training, I'm a smart cookie who's eager to learn! I already know quite a few commands like sit, down, shake, stay, and wait - pretty impressive for a pup my age, if I do say so myself. But I could use a bit of help when it comes to taking treats from hands. I'm just so eager to gobble them up that I forget my manners sometimes! Treats are my absolute favorite, and I'll do just about anything for a tasty snack. And as for stuffy toys, well, let's just say I've never met one I didn't like! Masks are currently optional. View our Available Pets page and select a few that you would like to meet. Then download an Adoption Application and fill it out prior to visiting our shelter. Our adoption process is a walk-up and queue-based, first-come, first-served system. You will have a meet and greet with an Adoption Counselor to discuss your application, review information on the pets you would like to meet, and you will be introduced to the pet(s).If the Meet and Greet is a success, staff will complete your adoption paperwork to make it official! If your new family member is already spayed/neutered, they will go home with you right away!
