Zina, warrior princess! Oh… that`s not how it`s spelled? I guess that makes sense, since our Zina is more of a lover anyway. Zina was adopted from PACC all the way back in 2017 and sadly returned to the shelter after five long years away. Zina was protective of her person in her former home and needs a savvy owner who understands that she needs proper intros to people and pets coming into her space. Her former person said that she has done well with smaller pets such as ferrets. She`s a silly girl who takes time to warm up to new people but is incredibly sweet. She loves to run zoomies around the yard after doing her business and will make a beeline for you and then dash away. Here`s what her friends at the shelter have said about her:`Zina is one of my best gals at the shelter. She lived in a loving home and I can totally tell. She loves being with her people. She`s bright eyed and smiley and so badly wants to be loved. I hope she finds a happy home soon but until then I`ll walk with my gal any day. She`s a gem.``Zina is always calm in her kennel and enjoys a nice long walk around the lake. She walks with a loose leash and knows look, sit, down, leave it, come and touch.``I enjoy walking this lovely middle-aged lady. She is always waiting patiently to go for her walk. She walks well on leash, checks in with her person, and takes treats with a soft mouth. Once back in her kennel, I spend some time cuddling with her and giving her ear rubs.`Zina spent about two months in a foster home and we learned so much more about her! She was housebroken, knows sit and down, and was overall very obedient and well- behaved. She did great when left home alone- her foster would leave her with a Kong and when she came back, Zina was fast asleep and the house was in perfect order. Here’s more of what her foster said:“She’s a sweet gentle soul, more on the independent side. Not at all clingy, just a pure sweetheart, loves to be pet and will snuggle next to you when watching TV. She LOOOVES squeaky toys, tears apart anything with stuffing and tennis balls; she also LOVES her Kong. She loves playing tug of war and teases you with her toys- she loves the attention!Zina is sweet, gentle, shy, persistent, froggy-frog legs, and low-maintenance. No other dog gets me off the couch to walk like this girl- she’s just sooo sweet and softly begs you with those huge puppy eyes and if you say no then she huffs and puffs and lays in her
