This handsome young lad has a sad history for such a young guy. He was already in doggy jail at animal control and reclaimed, only to be left on his own again and hit by a car. Fortunately for him, a good Samaritan picked him up and took him to a known animal lover and rescuer. She got him to the vet where they found his pelvis was broken. The fabulous person kept him during his convalescent period, and he is now completely healed and healthy. She even got him neutered before bringing him our way. Hammy will get the remaining vaccinations he needs as well be microchipped tomorrow, so he is ready to find his furever home. He is super sweet and friendly and is crate plus leash trained. Hammy is approximately 3 years old and weighs 30#'s. He is reported to be a Feist Mix - but jury is still out on that! Adoption fee for dogs are approximately $200 cash, check or debit card. All cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, dewormed, FELV/FIV negative and started on flea preventative. Adoption fees are set based on the animal but typically around 65.00 cash, check or debit/creditt card. Application review and approval is required prior to adopting. Adopters must be at least 21 years old.Shelter locationWe hold monthly adoption open houses at our kennel in Ellijay, Ga. We also arrange to do adoptions at the kennel by appointment.
