Lea is a true sweetheart with a gentle soul. Despite facing some challenges with her rear legs, she hasn't let it slow her down one bit. In fact, she's already bounding around her foster home with her canine foster sister, engaging in spirited games of "bitey face" and snuggling up for cozy cuddles. Lea adores soft surfaces for walking and play, though she's also adept at navigating harder terrain like cement and stairs. Her mobility isn't hindered, and she's free from any pain, according to her vet. Special Needs:While Lea's unique rear legs may require a bit of extra care and attention, she's proven herself to be remarkably resilient and adaptable. Her new playmates should match her gentle nature, preferring medium, dainty play over rough and tumble activities. With her perfect house manners and natural knack for companionship, Lea is sure to bring warmth and joy to any home lucky enough to have her. Ideal Home:Lea would thrive in a loving home where she can continue to receive the care and companionship she deserves. A family with another gentle dog companion would be ideal, as Lea thrives in the company of her furry friends. A home with soft surfaces for her to walk and play on would be a bonus, but Lea has proven herself capable of adapting to various environments. Most importantly, she needs a family who will cherish her sweet spirit and give her the love and attention she craves. The shelter aged Lea at 4 but after getting to know her and having our vet evaluate her, we think she is likey to be between 1-3 years.Adoption processIf there is a match/fit, an adoption contract is signed and adoption donation collected. Pet goes home with the adopter. Microchip information on new owner is then submitted to registry. Rescue always stays as a contact on the microchip registry.Shelter locationAll of our dogs are staying in foster homes throughout our service area in the following counties: Los Angeles and San Diego. Once it is determined that the dog you are looking for is a match, arrangements are made to visit the dog either at the foster's home or at a mutually agreed place.
