Leia will be available to meet and potentially adopt (pending foster's availability) on Saturdays starting Saturday, May 18th at our PetSmart location (857 N Val Vista Dr, #106, Gilbert AZ 85234) until adopted. The adoption event starts at Noon and goes until 3:00pmThis blue-eyed beauty is waiting patiently for her forever home. Leia was found living under a car. After complications from her spay surgery, she was scheduled to be euthanized but was saved by a good Samaritan who paid for her hernia repair and cared for her until she had gained some much needed weight. She couldn't keep her due to her work schedule, but unselfishly turned her over to FYH rescue so she could be adopted. Leia is around 4 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and potty trained with and without a dog door in her foster home. We think she's an American leopard hound mix or Catahoula. She is very affectionate and playful! You'll love how silky her fur feels. She's very friendly when meeting new people and dogs. She likes to play with other medium/large dogs. She's being trained to not jump on people when excited and not to use her mouth when playing with humans, so no young kids or elderly. She should be in a home with another dog to play with or a human who can give her plenty of play and exercise.
