Finnegan a.k.a Finny is a 14 year old short-hair who came in with Morrison a.k.a Moe—a 13 year old piebald long-hair. Finny can be adopted with Moe, but does not need to be. Finny is described as “sweet, easygoing, spry, adventurous (outside), and loving of dogs/humans.” He would adapt to any family's lifestyle. He is a senior but he enjoys the outside and has a curious and adventurous spirit. A family that experiences life would be great for him, as long as they are mindful of his age and allow him naps and rests from time to time. Environment Finny is currently potty training as this was never done in his previous home. He has been very responsive to a schedule and some consistency. He is already at 100% poops outside and 60-70% peeing outside. For now, he wears belly bands in the house and goes out every 3-4 hours. Finny is crate trained and currently penned when left alone and at night-time. This is partly for potty training, and partly for safety. He free roams when people are home with no issues! Easy access to green space will help house training. Finny loves walks! Whilst he does get excited from time to time, he isn't super vocal, so a home with shared walls would be manageable. Pets & People Finny is very mellow and knows how to give other dogs the right balance of space or cuddles. Much the same with new people, he is curious and friendly and wants to be pet. Often he will bark to say hi, but it’s only from excitement. He is not tested with children. Finny is looking for a home either with Moe or with another doggy buddy. Health For now Finny will need to continue to use his belly bands. It is recommended he take senior supplements. Location Finnegan is available for adoption from Attleboro, MA and great in the car—crated or not—so he can transport.
