Hello, dear reader! My name is Poet, and I am a four-legged spreader of joy and happiness searching for my forever home. I am an independent girl who likes a balance between playtime and my crate. My crate is my quiet place, and I will ask to go in it when I'm ready for some personal space. I know I'm super adorable, and you may find me simply irresistible, but I am not a big snuggler. I do enjoy the company of humans so much, but I'm not what you call a Velcro dog. I also enjoy the company of other dogs -- they are really my jam. And, like with any dog, I need slow intros to new doggos so we can get to know each other. I like to go for a short walk, lounging on a patio and playing in my yard. I don't really care about toys too much -- I'd rather be hanging with my human and fur friends. The TLP trainer had this to say about me, "Poet is a pretty rock-solid pup that would do well in just about any home. She has small bursts of energy, but they are pretty short-lived. She doesn't seem to be insecure or unsure. She is definitely dog-centric, and I think this girl would enjoy an occasional social outing, but really, she's a homebody.
