ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 30 lbs KNOWN WITH DOGS: Pippa is cordial enough to dogs she meets on walks but doesn't enjoy living with another dog. She doesn't like sharing. KNOWN WITH CATS: Pippa thinks cats are great to chase. She needs a cat free home. KNOWN WITH KIDS: Pippa does well with humans of all ages but as an older girl, she will prefer a quiet home so a home with older kids is best for her. KNOWN COMMANDS: Pippa knows basic commands like sit. KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING/OR CRATING: Pippa is house trained and doesn't hate the crate but her favorite place to be is next to her human. KNOWN DISLIKES: Pippa is not a fan of alone time unless she's sunbathing. She isn't a fan of long walks but is happy to take short strolls. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:Say hello to our senior terrier, the 12-year-old, 30-pound Buster Keaton lookalike! Her hangdog expression is sure to charm you, but don't let it fool you - she's full of personality and spunk. She's a big fan of bones, and very intense in the task of bury them for safekeeping. See the video of Pippa on a mission. While Pippa is not a fan of sharing her home with animals, she is quite keen on sharing space with her humans. Pippa is a loyal companion who loves attention. She's always up for a good petting session and loves to be doted on. And with her Buster Keaton-esque expressions, she's sure to keep you laughing and smiling. Pippa is on a special diet and some meds for arthritis but she's an easy dog to care for. We are surprised she's been waiting for her forever home for so long. Poor little Pippa keeps getting overlooked. Pippa is a low energy girl who enjoys walks most day. But don't let her placid aspect fool you. Pippa, can be very determined and surprisingly quick and nimble when something takes her fancy. She can be cautious walking up and down steps but somehow climb on to a couch in an instant. She will bark when she needs to go potty. And sometimes she'll bark and groan while she's getting into a comfy position on her dog bed or rolling around on her back. She is a funny girl! Pippa would love a quiet home where she will be cherished. She clearly had a rougher life before she came to Homeward Trails and birthed many puppies. A vainer girl might be asking for a tummy tuck to erase the vestiges of birthing and nursing puppies. She may not be the most glamorous looking dog, but she is one of the sweetest.
