Louis is the happiest boy and LOVES his humans! He is very food motivated and a quick learner. He is fully potty-trained and rings the bell at his foster home when he is ready to go out. He is doing great in his grate as well. His favorite things are snuggles, helping in the garden and belly rubs. He is working on leash walking in his foster home, he loves to be outside. But at the end of the day, his favorite place is at his humans feet, watching the world go by. Louis is about 4/12 months old and will be a big boy! He's got some big paws and legs he doesn't quite know how to manage, it's quite funny to see him try to run around! He's is a sweetheart, and VERY smart. He's a quick learner and is very eager to please (especially for treats!). In just a week he's mastered sit, stay, wait, down, touch, and we are working hard on leave it! He settles well in his crate and stays there through the night without much complaint or accidents. He does very well on car rides. He's is potty trained and working on walking at his new foster home, but fast cars are scary and he needs a little patience! Such a sweet boy! is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort.If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, or in some cases in our very small private kennel facility on Martha's Vineyard and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A large majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation.
