Temperance 🖤 If you looked in the dictionary for the definition of “man’s best friend,” you’d see a picture of temperance there 🖤 Temperance came into rescue after being found in terrible health, in a city known for chaining dogs up their whole lives 😢 lucky, she found a Good Samaritan that contacted the rescue for help, and one of our fosters took a chance on her. Temperance was severely underweight, full of internal parasites, and didn’t know how to “dog,” but with a lot of love and some dedicated training, she has shown us what an amazing companion she can be. Temperance is now looking for a family to continue her training and live out the rest of her life with! This beautiful girl is only 2-3 years old and has a lot of life left in her. She loves walks, and loves car rides even more! Any time she walks by the car she begs to go for a ride with her foster parents🚗 Temperance is also extremely food and toy driven! She LOVES to play tug and is working on her “off” switch when it’s time to end play. She walks well on leash, is non-reactive when she sees other dogs or humans, and has low exercise requirements. 🐶 Temperance is good with other dogs, but would prefer a home as an only dog, or with a low-energy, mild mannered sibling that will be patient as she learns appropriate play language. She lives with a lot of other dogs now, but isn’t quite sure how to play with them yet 🤣she has gotten great at settling on her “place” while hanging out with her foster siblings, and has even tried to play a few times! We want a home with no small children, and think she’d be a great buddy for a young adult or empty nesters. All this pretty girl wants in life is a morning walk, a car ride here and there, but most of all - love & affection from her humans. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate.
