Meet Cody, a 1-year-Labrador Retriever, shepherd, and Blue Heeler mix who weighs 30 lbs. Cody was surrendered with his brothers. They have not had much socialization and are still learning much about the world. They are extremely high flight risks and therefore must be with a family who can ensure secure surroundings (e.g., fenced yard, closed gates, no open doors, etc.). Cody enjoys the company of other dogs and would be fine with responsible, older children who will respect his needs as he settles into his new home. He can be cat-tested upon request. Of his brothers, Cody is by far the most outgoing and affectionate. If you sit on the ground next to him, he’ll come up for cuddles on your lap and may sneak in a little kiss. Some instances may require a home inspection. We require a meet and greet with all household members and resident dogs present at the shelter. The adoption fees are $175 to $400 ($150 for large senior dogs, $175 for small senior dogs, $275 for adults, $350 for puppies six months to one year, $400 for puppies under six months). FOR KITTENS ...Potential adopters will need to complete a Kitten Application and provide proof of vaccinations and spay/neuter for other animals living in the home. Renter must also provide a copy of their rental agreement showing pet allowance. The adoption fee is $130 for a DSH kitten, $160 for a DLH, specialty and purebred kittens. All kittens are flea treated, wormed, leukemia tested, and are up to date on shots as appropriate for their age. Adopter is responsible for remaining vaccines.
