A pigeon coop permit is required for owners residing within DC.Perry is a fabulous bird. This dear birdy was hanging out at the METRO and a kind person found this friendly feathered friend. Perry is clearly a pet bird so no more flying free. Perry is a lovely adult bird and is very ready to be adopted. Pigeons need a large cage to live in and they need several hours outside of the cage (but safely inside!) to get some much-needed exercise. They eat specific pellet diets plus they like fruits, greens, broccoli, carrots, and blueberries. As a special treat they would love some meal worms. Fresh water every day too! Pigeons are very fastidious about keeping their feathers clean. They love to bathe so be sure to let them get their bath time in. These neat pets do have unique housing, dietary and set-up needs so be sure to ask our adoptions counselors how to get ready to bring home Perry.
