Dot (A134672) is a 6-year-old female guinea pig who weighed 2.31 pounds on intake!05/25/24 This sweet little girl is Dot! Dot was brought to the shelter with her friend Maya. Unfortunately, Maya was very sick with a tumor when she arrived, and she did not make it. Dot is likely to be grieving the lost of her sister, so she may be open to having another guinea pig friend to bond with. Please make sure you do the proper research on introducing two guinea pigs. It is a very slow process, as they need time to get familiar with each other from afar before being fully introduced. Guinea pigs require a diet of plenty hay, along with a measured amount of pellets and a source of vitamin c. It is essential for them to have this vitamin c source, and it could be in the form of kale, peppers or even a supplement that most pet supply stores carry. Dot will also need appropriate chew toys to keep her teeth healthy and adequate room to move around to keep her digestion in check.
