Lady Rowan was transferred to MHRR in April 2023 from the LA SPCA. She arrived there after being attacked by a dog. While Lady suffered from a badly broken leg that had to be amputated, she is getting around fairly well now! She battled some liver issues as well but we're hoping they will be resolved soon - Her liver values are going down but she is due for one more re-check in August before she is ready for adoption! She is curious but sometimes nervous around busy or loud noises or children, but comes running for food & treats! She is working on litterbox training. Currently she is housed with vet bed/sheepskin flooring in addition to her low-entry litterbox to help make sure her remaining back foot stays healthy (manage/prevent sore hocks) and for good traction (to prevent sprain & delay arthritis).
