Adopt Nora a Grey/Silver American / American / Mixed rabbit in Seattle

Location:
Seattle, WA
Description:

***Nora is currently being adored in a foster home and not at the shelter. Please find info below on how to adopt her, thanks!***Nora is an exceptionally sweet and friendly bunny. She loves getting attention from any humans passing by, and will enthusiastically greet you when you stop to give her some pets. Having her nose rubbed is one of her favorite things and she'll even hop into your lap to get more. Her fosters have enjoyed watching tv or reading a book while keeping Nora company. She's very tidy with her litter box and hay and keeps her space pretty clean. She loves to explore and will be happiest with a little space to roam. She's been exposed to small dogs and guinea pigs and seems to do fine with other animals. Nora will make a wonderful companion.Pets are complex beings, and we could not possibly share everything about them in a short adoption bio. Prior to adoption, interested adopters will have an adoption counseling with one of our staff members where everything we know about an animal (including known behavioral and medical information) will be shared. We appreciate your understanding and patience***************************************************HOUSE RABBIT CARE:Copy the following link to read the Seattle Animal Shelter Rabbit Care Guide: https://bit.ly/2J8YCIwYou are expected to make a lifetime commitment to your house rabbit, and they should be treated as an integral part of the family. Please note that rabbits require large indoor spaces, not a hutch or small cage. There are simply too many dangers outside for a rabbit to thrive and survive. The primary caregiver must be a responsible adult, and young children should always be supervised when interacting with your rabbit and instructed on proper approach and handling.Rabbits are intelligent and social animals; they do best with a rabbit companion and need daily interaction with their human friends. Rabbits should be fed unlimited hay, a little high-quality hay pellets, and a fresh leafy green salad.Your rabbit will need regular nail trims and annual vet checks. With proper care and lots of love, rabbits can live to be 10-12 years old.
