FELV+DOB: 2021 Meet Andre, a guy who isn’t the least bit shy. He is a trusting cat that can get along with any human and sometimes acts more like a roommate than a pet. He’s also not afraid to explore new places and likes chasing after his fishing rod toys and laser pointer. That’s not to say that he doesn’t know when to relax and rest. He loves relaxing on beds and couches instead of his own cat bed because he knows a good thing when he sees it. Also of note he is a connoisseur of pets. He likes side and belly rubs but chin scratches as well. He likes wet food more so than dry food (don’t all cats?). Also of note Andre is FELV+ so he can only be a solo cat or live with other FELV+ cats. Andre is currently with one of our fosters but would love to set up a meet and greet. One of the biggest misconceptions about feline leukemia, which suppresses a cat’s immune system, is that it is an automatic death sentence. There are many variables, however, that come into play that determine how FeLV will affect a particular cat.
