Meet Bella, a sweet umbrella cockatoo who is looking for a forever place to land. Bella likes to be the center of attention and calls out for her foster family in the morning and towards the evening when she expects people will be up and about so as to make sure she gets plenty of it, but throughout the day she can be fairly quiet. Bella is learning to love spray baths and eat a healthy diet. She loves fruit but hasn’t yet come around to veggies. She will test your toy budget, going through them pretty fast. She also gets spooked when other birds take off flying, but she has shown no aggression towards other birds. She would love a long-term home that lets her chill out on top of her cage, gives her lots of affection, and maybe lets her watch tv sometimes. While we are unable to be certain, the rescue is at least Bella’s 4th home in her 16 years. It’s not her fault though, she just makes noise like any cockatoo. As such, she would not be suitable for an apartment or a home with shared walls. Do you think you could be Bella’s forever home? Adoption Fee: $600.Adoption processWhether interested in adopting a particular bird or not, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. From there, our adoption team will process your application (including background check, veterinarian check for all current animals, and a home visit)We will not ship any of our adoptable birds, and have a 100-mile adoption radius. We do not adopt to breeders.
