Butternut and his sister Aki were found and brought into LCCR rescue when they were about a month old. Their estimated birthday is September 9, 2023. Butternut is playful and social. He does well with humans (even loud children!) and other cats. He has not been introduced to dogs yet. He is food and attention motivated and very smart – he could likely be trained to do tricks! He loves to climb, run, and play. When he is playing with toys he is a very skilled aerial and ground hunter – a cat teaser with feathers or little catnip mice would make a great adoption present for him. Butternut and his sister Aki are currently living in a foster home in Spring Grove, PA. Butternut’s adoption donation is $150 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing (tested negative), microchip, and neuter/spay. Butternut will be neutered sometime mid-December and can go to his new home after that. He can be adopted in the meantime but will need to stay with his foster until 2 days after his neuter is done.
