Hi! My name is Guido and I am about 3 years young. I was brought to the Pet Pantry after being left in a box outside of a church. I was in pretty rough shape and need some immediate medical attention. I had a few things going on, here is a medical note from the veterinarian: Guido came to us with entropion (turned under eyelids) which was repaired. No follow up is needed for this. Guido was also heavily burdened with fleas upon arrival. In addition to being anemic from his flea infestation, he was infected with a bacteria from fleas called Mycoplasma haemofelis which worsened his anemia. He was treated for several weeks for this and is now back to normal. Some cats can relapse with this infection, so this information should be shared with your regular veterinarian as part of his history. Guido responded very quickly to treatment with doxycycline. Guido also had wounds on his feet which appeared to be from trauma and has completely recovered. Guido is quite the gentleman and loves attention. He is quick to give head butts and excels at biscuit making I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines.
