Meet Jabbers Meet Jabbers, a 7-8 year old tabby with a beautiful orange and white coat, big expressive eyes, and an adorable freckled nose! This older gentleman is a real charmer and quite the talker. One of his most endearing traits is his BIG purr- the loudest you’ve likely ever heard! He led a scrappy life on the streets before being rescued and is now looking for a comfortable and loving home to settle down and be a part of. Jabbers enjoys lounging around in comfy spaces and watching out the window, but he also has an adventurous and playful streak. Don’t be surprised if you find him exploring the house, chasing after cat toys, or zooming up and down stairs. The way to his heart is through his stomach and he loves his yummy treats. His previous life of fighting for food and struggling with untreated health issues left him with some chronic sinus inflammation that doesn’t cause him any problems, although he will sometimes snore or breathe loudly. Jabbers is a healthy boy, but is positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Don’t let that stop you! FIV positive cats can live with other kitties as long as they do well with one another. FIV is only passed from cat to cat by deep bite wounds. Casual contact and sharing a household poses no risk. That being said, he would do best in a single-cat home because other cats tend to make him anxious, and even aggressive, though he may do fine with a friendly FIV+ cat or friendly dog after a slow introduction. Jabbers has been with his foster family for 1 1/2 years and deserves to finally have a home of his own, With a personality that's uniquely his, Jabbers has a knack for bringing a smile to everyone's face.
