Kenau is a handsome 2-year old male Shepherd/Plott Hound mix who was picked up on Pike Street in Marietta Ohio on January 16, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who brought to the safety of our shelter. His preliminary pictures were posted that day on our HSOV Facebook pages in hopes that he would be reclaimed. Since he is still at HSOV, we took additional photos on January 17th and will post again in hopes that his owner will come to take him home. Keanu has a black short smooth coat with lovely brown/brindle shading, a long tail, and a beautiful face with dark brown eyes, black shading on his chubby muzzle, and large floppy ears. This good-looking boy has a friendly, outgoing personality and loved attention from HSOV Kennel Techs Cadince Bibbee and Kathryn Rea who teamed up to help Keanu with his photo session in the shelter lobby since the weather that day was not conducive for outdoor pictures. Keanu was a pushover for attention from both girls (and he gave them lots of hugs in exchange for 'good boy' treats). Keanu weighs 56 lbs. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Keanu was held for three days so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Sadly he has not been reclaimed as of January 24, 2024. Since he was not reclaimed, Keanu was neutered on March 12, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Keanu (Neutered), please reach out to the adoption group directly.
