Lucero is one of seven dwarf hamsters who were on the transport from San Diego Humane Society to the Humane Society here in Tucson. Please Google the news reports if you have questions. Lucero has rehabilitated nicely and was recently separated from his brothers into his own bin cage you see here which is available to purchase if you do not have an appropriate sized cage of your own. This little boy has a gentle disposition and isn't hand shy, but he will need an adopter to go slow with him and build trust over time. Lucero's name means light, all of the animals from the transport were given names meaning the same to offset the dark situation they came from.
