Blind & DeafDOB:7/28/2017 Special needs: Blind and deaf. Meet Lucky! This guy may have some special needs but these don’t hold him back from being an awesome companion. The vet told us his deafness is most likely congenital (so he was born this way and learned to adapt when he was a baby kitten). The vet is less sure about the cause of his blindness but it appears that he does have some limited vision. His foster mom says he can still see light and darkness and can recognize general shapes. He manages to navigate his surroundings with ease once has a little familiarity and can even calculate distances if he wants to make a little jump. He loves to "pbbrt" and love to rub up against you and your legs. And when he wants love he'll feel for vibrations and sniff you out. Because he would benefit from more predictability he would be a purr-fect cat for an apartment or small single story home. If you’re looking for a unique boy who has a strong sense of intuition, consider adopting lucky! He is currently in foster care but arrangements can be made to meet him. This cat is currently in foster care.
