Miss Mittens is a beautiful 5-year old female Tuxedo kitty who was brought to the HSOV on May 15, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found her at an apartment complex on County House Lane near Marietta Ohio. This lovely girl has a gray short smooth coat with a large patch of white on her chest, white mittens on her paws, a short tail, and an adorable face with green/gold eyes, a gray velvet nose, and long white whiskers. Miss Mittens has a calm, quiet disposition and a sweet, gentle personality. She is good with children but is not a fan of other cats. Miss Mittens was given vaccinations, flea treatment and Drontal wormer on May 24, 2023. She weighed 6 lbs that day. Miss Mittens was combo tested on May 25, 2023 and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She was given booster vaccines on July 24, 2023. We took Miss Mittens to be spayed on May 30, 2023 and when the veterinarian examined her, it was determined that she had already been spayed. Miss Mittens was given rabies vaccine, and she weighed 5.4 lbs that day. Miss Mittens had suffered an injury to her tail prior to entering our shelter and underwent surgery on June 14, 2023 for amputation of the necrotic tissue on her injured tail. Her stitches were removed on July 12, 2023 and Miss Mittens is rocking the new 'short tail' look. These updated photos of Miss Mittens were taken on December 1, 2023. She was a social butterfly while posing for her new glamour pictures. Miss Mittens is ready to find a new home with a special someone who will be patient with her and give her time to acclimate to her new home. She has spent many months in a small shelter cage and looks forward to a home and family of her very own. Miss Mittens is available for adoption or rescue.
