River Domestic Shorthair Adult Male

Meet River! River was recently surrendered to WHS in hopes of finding his forever home. While his previous owners loved him very much, they simply were not able to find a way to keep him in their home. River and the other male cat where constantly fighting, causing stress to everyone in the home. When River first came to the WHS the shelter environment proved extremely overwhelming, and he completely shut down. Not allowing staff to come near him. His previous owner was able to come by and help River settle in, bringing back the cat that they knew and loved! River truly is the sweetest boy and wants nothing more than to spend all day with his humans. He is currently an office cat, supervising our Spay/Neuter Coordinator to make sure that she is staying on task, helping to get animals of Watauga County fixed! His favorite hobbies include making the biggest biscuits known to man and batting around mouse toys.
