- AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - Currently in Stockton, CA. Shelly. 47lb. 3Y8M. FMD mix. Shelly is a sweet and lovable dog who was adopted three years ago to the SF Bay Area. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons and the owner starting a family, Shelly needs to find a new forever home. As a puppy, Shelly was outgoing and friendly with people, dogs, and even children. After three years, she has become a calm, steady, and slightly shy dog, but she still loves to snuggle with her family. She warms up to people more quickly if they have other dogs. She knows basic commands like sit, lay, and handshake, and is crate trained. She wears her harness and collar at all times and is good off-leash. Although she gets excited when on a leash, she calms down and behaves well. She is also 100% potty-trained to go outdoors.Shelly generally gets along well with other dogs, but like many animals, she can be a bit protective of her food during meal times. To avoid any potential issues, it's recommended that you simply provide some space between Shelly and other dogs when it's time to eat. With this simple precaution, meal times can be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for everyone. She is a joy during car rides, whether they are short or long distances.Currently, Shelly is staying with a foster family in Stockton, CA, and is looking for a responsible and loving forever family.
