Speedy is a neutered male kitten, born 7/27/23. His mom is Dutchess and his brothers are Mighty Mouse, Pinky, Jaq, and Gus Gus. Speedy is the most outgoing of his siblings. He will hop right up with people and nudge them for attention. He constantly looks to see if you are watching him while he plays and he loves to be right at your feet, sniffing boots or rubbing on your legs. True to his name, he is very quick kitty, always dashing off to explore something new. Dutchess was infected with FELV, probably while mating, and all of her sons have also tested positive. This virus suppresses their immune system so it's important to protect them from other animals that might be carrying germs they haven't been exposed to, to recognize early signs of illness, and to seek prompt medical attention/support. FELV is no longer considered a death sentence and with management, FELV cats can have very happy lives.
