Thumper Buck Adult Male

Location:
Provo, UT
Description:

This sweet guy is Thumper Buck and he is a charmer! He is the perfect companion that will sit next to you while you're doing dishes, working from home, doing laundry, etc. He likes to sit back and observe and just keep you company. He would even be a great buddy to take with you to run errands and such. Thumper is such a goof too! He'll let you mess with his nose and move it around like he's a little bunny rabbit. When he gets excited he'll hop around like a little rabbit too. He really is an over all great dog and has the best well balanced energy about him. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/UyvDPXgysjY?si=H8pw6v_YecsKWBhS Thumper Buck is a lab pittie mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 43 lbs and is full grown. We do not expect him to get much bigger if at all than he already is. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Thumper is dog friendly and did great with all of the dog we introduced him to. He is also currently being fostered with 5 adult dogs all ranging in sizes and personalities. Thumper is not much of a playful guy, he mainly sits back and watches the action going on around him and hanging back with this people. He will play for short periods of time and likes to play chase but he is an overall chill dude. Thumper was avoidant during his cat test and wasn’t phased by our resident cats but we do not know if he has ever lived with cats before nor can we guarantee that things won’t change once in the home. We do believe with slow and proper introductions he has the potential to coexist in a home with cats. Thumper would be best placed in a home with other calm aloof dogs like him or would even do great as an only dog. He does not need the company of other dogs to make him feel comfortable. He would do good in a home with a backyard or even an apartment/condo with adequate exercise. A walk around the neighborhood and good snuggle on the couch after is just what this guy needs. He is quiet too and already has great house manners. To our knowledge, he is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once he’s in his forever home. We are willing to test Thumper Buck with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know! Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
